League of Arab States
COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION
“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people unless they strive to change what is in themselves.” - The Qur'an, Surah Ar-Ra'd (13:11).
The early 21st century is a challenging time for the followers of Allah, but the challenge is not their faith. The challenge, rather, is from the ever-changing political state of Arab states posing a threat to the region's stability and the lives of many.
With issues raging in the political system of countries, it is no surprise to see the people have a response. In fact, the people are ready to revolt against the authors of all the pain and agony they are suffering. The Arab Spring is merely the expression of the people against flawed forces and their blunders against the people; it is to express their intention of revolution and strive to change from the inside—from the people themselves.
In this condition, the Arab League must take action. Will the League's members battle it out with their people to maintain the current kingpin, or will they settle and adapt to the new order? Will they merely accept the aftermath, or will there be precautions against each other? Delegates, it is up to you to decide the fate of the Arab Spring and the Arab world.
The people have strived for change. Will anyone hear their call?
